Success! Today she wrote 1, 2 and 3 on her own. I thought she was amazing and I went overboard with her reward stamps. 1 reward stamp = 10 minutes on the computer/tablet or TV after 6pm. It made her day getting an hour of reward time.
We did a bit of a spring clean today. I needed to move the PC into the lounge and even though doing that invites family members to get on it when they visit (sometimes the only reason they visit), it had to be done. She needs to learn how to work a mouse because the swiping business on a tablet isn't useful. Made a book corner for her. She loves it. The second shelf belongs to her and she had mucho fun arranging the candles along the top.
A portrait of Larry that hung on the wall prior was beginning to creep me out. It was a portrait taken when his illness was beginning to take over. The portrait rung of ill health and I very rarely looked at it. I changed it for the one hanging. This image was a happier and healthier time in his life. Shot as we sat at a beach in Malibu. I lit the fire twice last week. It will phase out eventually because of the change in the weather. I have not liked summer in the past, but winter was below average and I've grown an appreciation for warmer days. Warmer weather turns me into a farmer and I want to do everything in my yard that constitutes the rural life.
