Folks in a town that was quite remote heard ...

13 days old.
So delicious. I would like to put a sign on the baby that says No kisses! Hub's is the worst at it.

Take 25.
Hoping that Sound of Music soundtrack she's listening to will cure the disease.
She's like a helicopter to sleep with AND she drools, grits her teeth, sleep walks and argues whilst in slumber. I'm over it. She told me she'll move out of my bed when she's a big girl - 7 years old (same age Rome moved out of her Mum's bed ... which was a few weeks before that baby was born .. which was 13 days ago)

School starts tomorrow for most. It brings me an overwhelming feeling of comfort and joy. Like Christmas time. Nessa and Coral start High School and Jeston starts Intermediate (Jr High). Rome and Ngawi move up a class to year 4 and Shaily is entering the most important year of High School. If she sees this year through with flying colors, she'll get University Entrance no sweat next year. Hubba is excited that school starts for her tomorrow too, but to throw a spanner into the works ... I met the new teacher at the local school today. She would be Hubs teacher if she attended that school. I talked with her for an hour and I absolutely love her as a teacher. We will see how these first two terms go at home then reconsider the local school.

... Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo.

The Bubblegum disaster.

And that's the end of that.

US of A.

I get pangs sometimes to go back to the USA. Those pangs come in waves of memories of places we lived and visited. I take the time to burn something into my memory and I did that a lot in the USA. Once a month, at least, we'd take the time out to spend a weekend in Ventura doing the same thing every time, visiting the same places every time, staying at the same hotel every time and evening making sure we hit the same CVS store every time. I remember sitting in the hotel room one night taking in the room and thinking, remember this moment about Ventura because there will be a time where it will be the last time we'll ever be here.

And that's where my fascination with taking photos of everything we did came into play.

Nina and her crew are currently in the USA ticking off a to do on Allegra's bucket list.

I wish I was with them right now, instead I am living vicariously (and digitally) through her iMessage photos.

Palmdale was the town over from our town in Antelope Valley.
Only way to describe it:
PA - Hastings - Hawkes Bay.
Acton - Palmdale - Antelope Valley.

.

I'll be stalking her on Find Friends for the next week or so.

Expect snippets from Nina on the blog for the next ... I don't even know how long she's there for. She's having too much fun in Vegas to answer my iMessage.
They're probably driving on the wrong side of the road and holding up traffic.

Hot stuff.

I spent the last week watching Homeland. I tried to watch it several times before, but it didn't interest me. Then all the shows I usually watch had a season break and I had no where to turn. The show was mentioned on one of the American news channels and suddenly it became interesting. I started season one last Monday and I'm on the home stretch now at season 5. It's not for everyone, but it's better than Shortland Street and Sister Wives reruns.

It's been unbearably hot the last few days. Even with all my windows open in the house, it's like a sauna up in here. I turned on the air con that I haven't used in 6 years and it bought some relief, but also quadrupled my power bill for that day (thank you Energy Online for your newly released app).

Hubs has a tan. If I could show you the color on her butt compared to the color she is, you'll be amazed. Alas, she will not let me take a photo and often turns into the Tasmanian devil when I try. Water is the only way to stay alive during the day. Water and a $10 fan from The Warehouse.

Baby Avi is very delicious.
I can't even deal with cheeks that chunky.

Where in the world is my Bebs.

Found him.

I'm sick of seeing it, but here it is for those who didn't click the link properly, which by my site meter, was a number of you Internets.

I really wish that wasn't the still they used to advertise the video.

Back, back back to school oh yeah!

Just over a week left till school starts for the year. I am so happy about this. It is a hideous affair walking through town with teenagers every where you look. So glad. So so glad.
Spent the morning at The Parentals. Hubs swam while I cursed the heat and as per my new ritual, went to The Livians to spend some quality time with Avi later in the afternoon.
She is delish at 6 days old.

Swapping kids with Mitchy tomorrow.
She's taking Hubs, I'm taking the baby.
If only she'd take Tyler too.

10 points if you guess the movie the post title is from.

The Video

Sister's brother-in-law Ben got married a few weeks ago to the daughter of long time family friends, Aaliyah. Their wedding reception video is trending right now on the Internet, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on YouTube to link.

Clicking will take you to The Telegraph website to see the video.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/newzealand/12112740/Wedding-guests-break-into-surprise-haka-for-bride-and-groom.html
Pretty sick of seeing it on my news feed every second post, but that's what going viral means. I've watched the video 5 times only because I've been trying to spot my Beb's in it. Sister told me last night he was upset because the haka woke him up.

And a big Maori MÄ«haro to Joel for leading that haka like a boss and becoming potentially famous for something that is not rapping.

Happy Bornday Jesties.

Happy Birthday to my favorite nephew that starts with a J and ends with an Eston. This Fool of a Took is 11 today.

We had cake for him yesterday at The Parentals because his Dad left to head back to work today, his actual birthday. Rome blew out the non existent candles.

Jeston did not care for the cake and neither did his little friends.

Aaaavvviiiiiiii.
She loves me.
Maybe more than my own child.

Paparazzi

I got to babysit The Queen today.
The Livians swapped the baby for Hubs.
Newborns are very boring.

Sometimes ...

... My family overwhelm me.

Sometimes I dislike this place.

Sometimes I wish I can raise the earth under my house (like the City of Enoch) and move my house anywhere else.

Sometimes I wish the Goblin King chant worked on family members.

Happy Bornday Baby Avi.

These two .. (not the bomber in the back)

.. have been fighting over this one ..

ALL DAY.
I'd like to do this ...

.. to them both.

Hubba keeps asking,
"Where's he's balls?" .. while everyone else refers to her as an IT.

So this happened while you slept.

I sent a text to Mitchy around 11pm asking her not to have the baby tonight. I had somewhere to be early this morning, but Olly decided on Saturday that he was going to spike her drink with castor oil so she could have that baby before he went back to Australia.

I went to bed at 11pm and switched my light off at 12:10am ready for sleep. The phone call came at 12:11am to 'come now'. I threw all my clothes back on. Woke Hubba up. Woke Tyler up and within 5 minutes we were down the road at The Livians.

We hit town at 12.27am (I'd like to thank time stamps on photos for this) and Mitchy was in the hospital bed at 12.38am. Between 12.49am and 12.59am, Mitchy was dilated 4cm. Between 1.08am and 1.18am, Mitchy's waters were broken and it was all on.

1.25am. The fat baby, all 8 pounds of her, was born looking a hell of a lot like her Dad.

She's pretty cute.
Baby sister & big sister.
That 22 year age gap though.

Tyler looking normal.

Dad, big daughter, baby daughter .. and there are 4 other daughters in between and 1 other daughter son.

3.30am. Home to meet the rest of the troop.
Safe to say, Rome has met her match.

At 3.30am, Hubba was not interested in seeing her new baby.
She was excited this morning though when we stopped in for a visit.

This at 4am.
Are you happy because of your new baby?
No. Because I'm in my own bed!

The Heiferlump & Dad.
I'll tell her you name later .. I'm trying to persuade The Livian to add a name in there.

This mornings visit.
Looks like her brother to me and he's a handsome devil.

Baby #4 is here!
