God bless the USA (and Canada).

Canada. Indspire awards. They were the opening act with Pieter T. Had to look him up on youtube to find out who he was exactly. His songs don't ring a bell at all.

The pukana is a hideous thing that shouldn't be part of the art, especially at an international level.

It's time.
Eventually, I'm going to visit the US one last time. I abandoned my status, by default, years ago when Larry got too sick for us to fly anywhere. I could contest the abandonment and easily win a case based on his illness and our inability to renew my status and retain my permanent residency, but we fought the Immigration systems of both our countries for 12 years.
Emotionally and mentally, it's easier to abandon it completely than fight it.

PS. Week 9 in Capture real life in 52 weeks was an Acrylic Paint Mini Album challenge, which I will omit simply because it sounds as awesome as crafts night with the Relief Society.

Back in to school work. Letters, numbers and writing. Writes the number 3 like it's an m, but is a boss at the number 4 and the letter c. Tried to draw a dog for the letter D and was told my dog looked like an idiot. The elephant for E was worse and she loved it.

She told me today that her hair was her property and she didn't want me to brush it.
I let her off today.
Look out tomorrow child.

In this set of resources was the story of Papatuanuku (mother earth) and Ranginui (the sky). The brief version of the story goes ... they were together because they loved each other and they had a bunch of kids and the kids pushed them apart because they were squished and thus separated them. Now every time it rains it's Ranginui crying for Papatuanuku and every time it's misty, it's Papatuanuku sighing and longing to be reconnected with Ranginui. In the meantime, all their kids - the ones that pushed them apart - became guardians of different things.

War, weather, food, forest, sea and Ruaumoko the guardian of earthquakes, fire and volcanoes, who was carried to the underworld because his brothers couldn't bear to see their parents see each others sorrow and thus, turned their mother upside down so their parents didn't have to look at each other anymore. Taking the baby Ruaumoko with her as she turned the myth goes, each time he moves under his mother, the earth moves. There's another story, one I was familiar with, that Ruaumoko was never born and continues to move in his mothers womb. Great stories, but enunciating those Maori names .. I may as well be a China man.

Round 2.
I will not jinx it with more information than that.

Messages from Canada.
Someone found WalMart and was in retail heaven.

Dress rehearsals. Trying to get information out of her re: her schedule - specifically NM and AZ - is like Sonny Bill Williams loyalty to a code. Impossible. I don't blame her because she doesn't know. I doubt her superiors do either.

Switching internet providers this weekend. It was a bit of a conundrum thinking I'd have no internet for the weekend and would have to rely on my trusty phone and it's data for my fix, but all will be well. I can just go and sit at my brothers house and hog his internet for a few hours since he's been doing it here since 2012.

Last Thursday of February.

NE swell and a SW wind at Te Awanga today. Not sure what that's supposed to mean to me, but I went along anyway.

Lots of dudes out there today.

Home again to relax for the rest of the night. Was supposed to have a Primary meeting tonight, but I had something to do around the same time so it's tomorrow. It's been a great month in Primary with the new callings. Well-adjusted. We've got more done together in 2 months than the previous did in 3 years.

Maoris and snow ...

The Livian left today to head back for another month of work this morning. You know what that means? Things will return back to normal for 26 days because he's a bothersome mofo that puts everything out of whack with his disorderly ways. The kids become brats and all you can do is throw your hands up in the air and deal with it because it's his 7 days of refuge.
He sucketh.
As does his first born.

Nice one George.

Oh Canada ...

This one is especially for Nessa, who's life long dream is to go to a Starbucks. There's one in Napier. I told her I'd take her there myself. I know exactly what she'll do. She'll stand there for ten seconds, take a selfie by the logo and waste $10 gas wanting to go home after 45 seconds because she doesn't have $6 for the Mocha Frappuccino she's not allowed to drink or $5 for the Classic Hot Chocolate she can consume.

Goes all the way to Canada to eat this ...
Have you not been to Reduced the Clear lately? NZ has those! At least have some maple candy.

In her No. 1s.

100 sleeps left.
Not counting or anything. When Hubba asked how many days till Tyler get's back, I had to figure it out.

Just living my life and telling you about it.

The function of the blog is to stay connected with family and friends. It bridges the gap between cities and continents - maybe even universes. It narrows the distance between me and my international importants. That's why I have a blog. My ambition for it is not egocentric.
It's content is not ammunition for gossip.

With that said, let's move forward with today's blog post.

Spent the sabbath with The Livians who did everything today that wasn't sabbathy and if your house smells like smoke PA, it's because my Mum lit a fire when The Livian parents weren't home. Why people give that woman matches is beyond the bounds of insanity.

Nessa's drink bottle in the fridge labelled "poison". I think I was the only one who asked her if it really was poison. I wouldn't underestimate Nessa. She hates everyone equally.

Rome's dog house for herself.

Pizza's for dinner with The Livians.

Recreated Hell's pandemonium.
Wasn't too bad.

Tyler's in Calgary and mentioned something about crowchild. I thought that might have been an auto correct, but apparently crowchild is something in Canada.
Asked for photos from Canada .. got this.

Clean your room before you go.
Yep. I will.

Make your bed before you go.
Yep. I will.

I get to look at that for four months.
Found Hubba in her room this morning sitting on her bed. She asked when Tyler was coming home and said she's been gone for too long already.
Do not miss her.

Summer part 2

Nessa envisioned this shoot with my nephew Ellis. They pulled it all together very well. Hubs was supposed to be in it, but got stage fright...
