Back to 1963

YouTubing tonight, I found this video from The Danny Kaye Show in 1963 when the Maori group, Te Arohanui, made their debut. The footage is so old, I can only make out a few faces, but at 6:09 minutes I can clearly hear my grandmothers distinct soprano begin the last song and throughout.  I can also hear the voice of our neighbour across the road, Nanny Maere, who is rocking 94, at the beginning.

Bet you didn't know dragons sung opera.
