18/47 - Southern style chicken

You gotta have mashed potatoes with your Southern Food .. sprinkle in some hickory spice.

The secret is in the batter. Mine in particular was eggs, buttermilk, BBQ Sauce (Rich & Sassy by Famous Daves), Worchestershire & steak sauce.

Always use tenderloin.

The dry mix also has several herbs & spices, but for the life of me I can't remember them.

Deep fry at 190 celsius for 6 minutes.

When you don't have handy towels to drain the oil, use bread.

The chicken was silky.
The hickory spice in the mashed potatoes was an unfamiliar taste, but it worked.
The white pepper gravy was the cherry on the top.
